THE POSITION:
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Executive Housekeeping Manager. As an integral part of our organization, you will oversee the housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency are maintained throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to address maintenance issues, guest requests, and ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and manage housekeeping budgets, including inventory control, purchasing, and cost optimization.
- Implement and enforce safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment for the housekeeping team and guests.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in housekeeping management, and implement relevant improvements.
- Foster a positive work environment, providing coaching, guidance, and support to the housekeeping team to promote professional growth and high morale.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping, promptly resolving issues and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Prepare reports and communicate regularly with senior management on housekeeping performance, including key metrics and accomplishments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a similar executive housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- In-depth knowledge of housekeeping procedures, techniques, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, guests, and senior management.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
