Position: General Manager (Fitness Studio)

Company Overview:
HOTWORX® is a 24-Hour Infrared Fitness Studio and the first implementation of innovative infrared sauna technology in a 3-dimensional training method. We combine Heat (Dimension 1), Infrared Energy (Dimension 2) & Exercise (Dimension 3) to help members flush toxins, tone up, and burn calories. Our studio offers 24-hour access to unlimited sessions ranging from HOT Yoga to Hot Cycle to Hot Buns and more. Our workouts are led by virtual instructors in a semiprivate environment, suitable for all fitness levels to provide MORE WORKOUT IN LESS TIME!
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma (Required) / associate or bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
· Supervising Experience: 1 years (Preferred)
· Customer Service: 1 years (Preferred)
- Sales Experience: 1 years (Preferred)
- Can reliably commute to Bowie MD regularly (Preferred)

· The ideal candidate has previous sales and management experience, a fitness certification and or degree in a related field, and a strong interest in helping others achieve healthier lifestyles while leading and growing a team of Sales Associates.

Initial and Required Training & Certifications:
· Maintain active CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
· Complete assigned HOTWORX® University Online required courses included in the General Manager curriculum once annually or as assigned by franchisee.
· Complete newly introduced HOTWORX® University Online courses as they are available.
· Subscribe to the HOTWORX® weekly blog. Read weekly and put it into practice.
· Participate in any team or corporate trainings including webinars as assigned by owners.
Studio's Staffed Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 11-8pm
- Friday 9-6pm
- Saturday 11-4pm
Job Details & Responsibilities:
General Managers must be prepared to use effective management strategies, marketing tactics, consultative sales skills, and superior customer service to exceed the established performance goals while helping members burn massive amounts of calories!
Recruiting/Onboarding:
- Recruit & interview for staff and other necessary positions per franchisee criteria.
- Adhere to hiring processes set forth by franchisee and HOTWORX® Franchising best practices, including, but not limited to requiring resume submissions, providing pre-employment package to prospective employees, and executing interviews.
- Ensure all TSAs are fulfilling the required training and certifications for their positions to include HOTWORX® University Online courses, webinars, and other training applications as outlined in their job descriptions and as required by HOTWORX®
Sales/Operations:
- Ensure operational checklists are prepared weekly/daily for monitoring including but not limited to: Daily Open/Close Checklist, Daily Marketing Checklist, Daily Sauna Safety Protocol Checklist & Daily Cleaning Checklists.
- Create and maintain a weekly staff schedule one week prior to the week of execution.
- Create and maintain a monthly training schedule one week prior to the beginning of the month to include all training objectives, staff meetings, marketing, and promotion initiatives as well as equipment maintenance events.
- Set, communicate, and monitor individual sales goals for all TSAs on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis using measurements tools provided by HOTWORX® POS software. Communicate results and action plans to staff and franchisees as requested.
- Develop agendas for all employee meetings and training.
- Hold all TSAs accountable for executing sales prospecting responsibilities and marketing.
- Monitor efforts and document them in prospecting logs.
- Monitor the closing percentage and percent to goal of all TSAs and discuss action plans to continuously improve performance.
- Provide creative ideas to keep the employees motivated and focused on meeting and exceeding goals. Discuss all incentives and pay increases with and receive approval from the Franchisee before communicating with TSAs.
- Complete monthly Performance Evaluations on all TSAs based on adherence to and execution of their job description and goals.
- Meet daily with the Franchisee and prior to weekly staff meetings to collaborate on performance, agendas, and discussion topics.
- Submit payroll to Franchisee bi-monthly for approval. Once approved by the Franchisee, report payroll information to the processor.
Business Development:
- Ensure that minimum requirements for prospecting are met monthly.
- Monitor, track and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly lead flow from online/social media advertising and communicate regularly with Franchisee and ad agency to monitor and communicate regarding return on ad budget/spend as well as cost per lead metrics.
- Work with staff to ensure daily and weekly organic posts are set up to encourage and increase engagement on all social platforms, especially Facebook & Instagram.
- Communicate with franchisees and ad agency on changes in social media lead quality or feedback to update ads and campaigns as needed.
- Ensure Daily Duties Checklist is completed daily.
- Submit close of business report and a brief email to Franchisee nightly including analysis of the daily production. The email should provide a summary of the day and why or why not the studio accomplished the daily goals and what the plan is for the next day.
- Review Studio Prospecting/Client tracking logs daily to ensure proper exercise of prospecting duties. This includes new member follow up, new guest tracking, etc.
- Utilize all HOTWORX®® marketing tools to maximize traffic.
Facilities Management:
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the studio including lobby area, saunas, functional training area, restrooms, and any other areas to ensure superior customer service and sanitation expectations are exceeded.
- Enforce all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance requirements with TSAs.
- Schedule monthly studio equipment maintenance and cleaning sessions to maintain sanitation standards and ensure that the studio equipment is always fully operational.
- Ensure equipment repairs by reporting all repair or part replacement requests through the proper vendor immediately upon equipment failure; confirm order with Franchisee.
- Ensure that all infrared heaters are in working order and are changed the moment they fail to heat or when they reach the end of their hours of operating life span.
- Maintain accurate product inventory according to minimum standards & rotate merchandise every month to enhance the presentation of retail products.
- Order new retail inventory EVERY Monday to ensure that stock levels remain healthy.
