PART TIME POSITION
Summary
Greet and assist members promptly and efficiently in a professionally friendly manner. Receive and process counter transactions and post all depository and mail items. Maintain confidentiality of all member information. Responsible for all cash and negotiable items assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by Vice President, Manager or Branch Lead.
Performs teller functions such as processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, U.S. savings bond redemptions, cashes checks, sells US postage stamps and issues; cashier’s checks, credit union checks, money orders, pre-paid debit cards and gift cards.
Process incoming and outgoing collection items.
Secure all cash and negotiable items (stamps, gift cards, pre-paid debit cards) that you have been assigned at all times.
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer and negotiable items at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with computer totals.
Maintains familiarity and complies with all applicable credit union policies and procedures such as accepting negotiable items, scanning checks, buying and selling cash, opening/closing procedures.
Maintains knowledge and complies with all regulations specific to the cash department (Bank Secrecy Act, Reg CC, Reg E, and Patriot Act).
Knowledge of all products and services offered by the credit union and cross selling those products and services.
Cross sell and maintain records of all marketing programs offered by the credit union (i.e. candy).
Assist with opening and closing of branch office, opening and closing vault and items to be placed and removed from vault daily.
Responsible for balancing Master Card and Visa cash advance and Money Order at close of business.
Responsible for all Cashier’s checks, money orders, reloadable card, gift cards, Master Card, and Visa cash advances logs.
File CTR report on deposits / withdrawal transactions in excess of $10,000.00 in cash.
Notify supervisor if equipment is not working properly or if supplies need to be ordered.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or student work-study program, and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
