Job Summary: The X-Ray Technician will conduct radiographs castings, sample parts, and structural members for flaws, cracks, or presence of foreign materials and process related deviations.
Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:
- Operates x-ray and film processing equipment.
- Aligns test specimen between source of x-rays and film in accordance with approved x-ray techniques.
- Adjusts controls of x-ray equipment to expose x-ray films.
- Removes and develops film from cassette.
- Assist Level II in isolation of indications appearing on film and assists in analyzing finding.
- Perform systems checks, and calibrations on all associated equipment related to x-ray process within predetermined limits.
- Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including but not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.
- Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and circumference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Basic Qualifications:
- This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- A minimum of three months related experience and/or training.
- Must be able to visualize and interpret in 3-D and should be detail-oriented.
- Must be available for all shifts. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is required.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
