The Occupational Safety and Health Intern position will be located at our Whitehall, MI campus.

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Environmental Health and Safety team as an Occupational Safety and Health Summer Intern. This position will focus on industrial hygiene testing, support our OCC Health Clinic, and help with other Health and Safety initiatives for our EHS Department.

The 2024 Summer Internship Program also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns.

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Occupational Safety and Health from an accredited institution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and team work skills
• Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
