COMPANY: HOYA Vision Care Corporate Office Position, also open to working out of other Hoya North American U.S. facilities. (Those located in U.S. Pacific Time zone could be a plus)
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for working with various lab personnel including Lab Management, Operations and Engineering to analyze and interpret complications with Hoya's LMS System henceforth referred to as DVI or the DVI System. Ability to troubleshoot system issues and resolve challenges or obstacles within the DVI System and/or Lab Environment. Must coordinate with multiple departments when necessary and ensure the most efficient operational outcome with the least amount of down time.
- Collaborate with Sales Management up to the VP of Sales and Marketing on best methods to implement system tools when onboarding new products or customers.
- Build and maintain costing, lens availability/pick lists and inventory in the DVI system. A solid understanding of DVI's Rx Wizard/EyeConnect and the building of Vision Web catalogs.
- Support the standardization of data across lab network. Service Codes, Price Lists, Frame and Lens Data bases and DVI general programs.
- Accountable for remotely supporting the DVI System in any of Hoya's 30 Facilities located in North and South America.
- Managing open projects for the DVI Support Team.
- Attend cross functional planning meetings where DVI Support is needed along with the ability to relay and communicate tasks out to the team.
- Ability to delegate duties to other team members and ensure completion of tasks as scheduled.
- Management personnel will assign other duties and projects.
- Some travel is required for on-site support visits, meetings, and workshops to any of the 30 Hoya locations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate degree in computer science or related education strongly preferred; high school diploma required. May use a combination of experience and education.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Optical Industry required as well as a general understanding of optical terms and lens manufacturing procedures.
- At least 5 years of experience using DVI LMS System required including pricing, availability/pick list as well as good understanding of technical lens data specifications.
- Strong understanding of how the DVI Lens Manufacturing System works overall.
