SUMMARY
Mixes tints to dye lens to match color prescribed by the doctor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duties
- Take lens out of tray and clean with solution
- Use clamps to put lenses in various color dyes to achieve desired results
- Run water over lens after removing from dye
Secondary Duties
- Perform duties at Mounting
- Cross-train/help in other areas of the department as directed by Supervisor and/or Lead
Production Expectations
- New employees are expected to produce/complete 10 jobs/hour by 90 Days of employment (this includes all types of tints - UV, Gradient, etc.)
- At one year of employment and beyond, employees are expected to produce 15-20 jobs per hour (this includes all types of tints - UV, Gradient, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- None required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to read prescriptions
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Able to read and write English Language
- Have good eye sight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience
- Work without supervision
- Must be able to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed
- Ability to mix colors together to achieve a prescribed color by the doctor
- Good memorization and organization skills
- Must be able to interpret and follow instructions well
