Hoyleton Youth and Family Services is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated full- or part-time Nurse to join our onsite medical team. DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?
- Graduate certificate from a school of nursing holding state accreditation
- A current license to practice as a professional registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in Illinois
- Membership in a professional organization is desirable.
- 2 years of experience in public health nursing, school nursing, and maternal-child health nursing is valuable.
WHAT YOU DO
As a Nurse, you play a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of residents. Your responsibilities range from coordinating medical appointments and securing transportation to dispensing medications. You meticulously record medical information for each child and ensure the timely disbursement of all forms of medication to respective cottages. Beyond routine health care, you take charge of maintaining comprehensive health records, including physical, dental, eye, and hearing examinations, as well as immunizations.
You obtain the necessary approvals for medical procedures and dispensing psychotropic medications. Additionally, you provide vital medication training to staff, adhere to agency policies, and actively contribute to quality improvement processes within the Child and Family Services division. Your dedication plays a pivotal role in reducing risk, ensuring compliance, and enhancing services for the well-being of both clients and staff!
