Job description:
A transportation dispatcher is the point of contact between drivers, clients, and vendors, and they coordinate to balance customer needs with driver health and safety. They are responsible for:
- Planning and dispatching: Scheduling drivers for pickups and deliveries on specific routes
- Maintaining records: Keeping up-to-date records and reviewing driver logs for errors or violations
- Monitoring hours: Keeping track of drivers' hours
- Communicating: Communicating with customers by phone, email, or text, and resolving load disputes
- Providing logistics: Providing precise logistics for drivers to follow along on their routes
- Enforcing rules: Enforcing strict adherence to standard protocols and applicable rules and regulations
- Maintaining communication with maintenance: Keeping in communication with the maintenance team to see which vehicles are ready for use and when the out-of-service ones will be returned to the fleet
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour depends on experience
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shifts
- Monday-Wednesday 8p-7a Thursday from 8p-3am (Short day)off Friday Saturday and Sunday
