Are you a motivated and driven Freight & Logistics Sales Professional?
We are looking for a Freight Sales Representative to thrive in designing strategies to sell the services of the company. The strategies may include cold-calling and prospecting daily, lead generation through relationship selling processes, and occasional virtual client visits, and tele-sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sells a suite of services used to transport freight between shippers and carriers, to new or existing customers in assigned area or territory
- Identifies and generates leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals to build a pipeline
- Contacts and interacts directly with potential, new, and existing customers or clients to present information and explain available services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques
- Analyzes and determines customers' freight forwarding needs, recommends service(s) best suited for them, and prepares and presents proposals to sell services that address those needs
- Prepares forms or agreements, closes transactions, and secures sales
- Identifies issues and work with the customer service team to reach resolution with exceptional customer service sales
- Answers all questions concerning our services, with appropriate referrals where required
- Builds relationships with customers daily and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass Background Check (no prior convictions within last 10 years)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. FTL experience
- Preferred: 1 year of experience
- McLeod Software experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and strong internet skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively
- Outstanding customer service skills
