What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator position at HRL Laboratories LLC?

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Material Coordinator will oversee the purchase requisition approval process, assign the completed requisitions to buyers for the issuance of purchase orders, enter data into the system and generate reports, and provide customer service to internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Review the OnBase purchase requisitions and distribute to the buyers. This function includes:
- set up new item codes in Costpoint
- correct requisitions so that they will be accurate when they are flowed into Costpoint
- assign buyer and P.O. number to each requisition, along with appropriate codes to be added to the P.O.
- enter Suborder Release requisitions against Blankets submitted in OnBase into Costpoint
- run and attach denied parties screening for each suborder release against a government contract
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
