What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabric/Textile Associate position at HRPivot?

Headquartered just outside of Downtown Los Angeles, the company manufactures multiple brands that are sold in most major department stores and over 550 specialty boutiques across the country.
The Position: The Fabric/Textile Associate is responsible for assisting the product development team in acquiring the best fabrics for our designs, by using in-depth knowledge of fabrications as well as communicating effectively with team members within the design department. ***THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION***
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of Fabric Assistant experience
- 1-3 years of experience in the fashion-related industry, preferable in women’s fashion
- Knowledge of fabrics and textiles
- Strong attention to detail & communication skills
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, AS400, PDM
Responsibilities:
- Assist Fabric Team with purchase orders and follow up with textile mills
- Assist in maintaining the fabric library
- Daily email correspondence with textile mills/manufacturers
- Receipt and organization of packages and products from mills
- Prepare lab dips and strike off for daily review and approval
- Other design and fabric duties as needed
