POSITION SUMMARY Develops and manages purchasing and supply chain strategies for G&J Pepsi Cola. Leads sourcing for equipment, goods and services to ensure lowest total cost of ownership. This position is responsible for identifying potential supplier sources, negotiating favorable supplier agreements, and managing supplier and vendor contracts. The Purchasing Manager constantly monitors company purchases to deliver best in class goods and service aligned with organization goals.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating price and supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
- Managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
- Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
- Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
- Drive cost reduction programs that meet or exceed the business plan while assuring business needs are met for capital projects, MRO, and other indirect expenses. Negotiate, maintain, and approve all related cost, pricing, payment terms, and logistics terms.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implements best practice regarding vendor selection, evaluation, performance, reporting and controls.
- Review and monitor capital purchases to ensure its compliance with budgets, company policies and procedures.
- Create policies and procedures for purchasing risk management and mitigation. Set and manage company purchasing standards for various spend types.
- Manage supplier and internal compliance to contract terms & conditions for indirect categories including but not limited to Fleet, Professional Services, Facility Services, MRO, Run-the-Plant suppliers, Capex, utilities, HR, IT, etc.
- Coordinate with PepsiCo Global Procurement to obtain Price Books and pricing updates.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Maintains measurable metrics for all levels of procurement activities.
- Works with new vendors to assure timely set up in their system.
- Stays current with purchasing and technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
- Assists co-workers on various accounting projects to help increase efficiencies and become more accurate.
- Reviews and processes purchase orders.
- Communicates with other employees regarding requests for information, supervisor and management team regarding any problems or issues.
- Maintains confidentiality of financial information, pricing, customer information and other sensitive and confidential information.
- Adheres to all company policies, standards, and procedures (e.g., OSHA and safety requirements, Federal/State/Local Laws).
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience Experience:
- 3-5 years of previous purchasing experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in Project Management
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite; Accounting ERP systems; general accounting practices and financial management; financial statements.
