HTC VIVE is looking to hire a Paralegal to support HTC’s legal team in the US and Taiwan. This position requires the performance of diverse corporate, regulatory and litigation activities – all under the supervision of the legal teams in the US and Taiwan.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist corporate attorneys with preparation and organization of contracts and other documentation
- Draft correspondence, policies and procedures, and research memoranda
- Support on-going commercial and patent litigation, and review and assist with payment processing of invoices from legal vendors
- Manage and monitor performance of long-term contracts and agreements, including providing analysis and concise summaries of contractual obligations, commitments, and performance for internal stakeholders
- Maintain contracts database for North America and LATAM regions and ensure that executed contracts are received and entered into the global contract tracking system for efficient tracking and reporting
- Serve as first point of contact for internal NDA requests and assist corporate attorneys with drafting a variety of contracts
- Perform as point-of-contact for all US employees using HTC’s internal contract approval system (e-Agreement), manage and load contractual information into the system, serve as contact on pre-contract and active contract activities, pull reports, and provide training as necessary
- Work closely with Accounting/Finance to provide fully executed contracts for payment of invoices
- Perform research and report findings in support of resolution of contracts related compliance requirements, problems, issues, opportunities, etc.
- Manage signatory requirements and execution of all contracts attached to a US Legal Partner
- Oversee discovery related projects including management of responsive document and ESI collection, including supporting patent litigation docket
- Liaise between legal department and outside counsel, employees/witnesses, IT department, and legal vendors
- Serve as database manager for eBilling and matter management software
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities)
- Paralegal certificate, or Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of relevant experience, in a law firm or in-house, working with high tech clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint and Teams
- Knowledge of eDiscovery process and tools
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects work independently and with minimal supervision
- Honesty and willingness to ask questions
- A proven track record of accountability, attention to detail, and organization in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Confidence, sense of humor, good judgment, and balance
