As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Director of Product Support/Aftermarket/Operations to help steer our strategic direction and manage significant segments of our organization.
Essential Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for leading our Aftermarket Sales, encompassing parts and service, with revenues of approximately $15-20M. Your strategic oversight will enhance our operational processes, customer satisfaction, and financial outcomes. This position requires a blend of strategic leadership, operational management, and a strong focus on customer and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead strategic initiatives to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve performance, closely aligning with broader business objectives.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day management of parts and service divisions, meeting customer needs and organizational goals.
- Oversee financial operations within the division, focusing on revenue growth, cost management, and margin improvement.
- Manage the supply chain, ensuring efficient procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, identifying and rectifying issues promptly.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, leading process enhancement efforts.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a diverse team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
Requirements
- A college degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of proven sales management experience, preferably in a multi-location operation within the material handling industry.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with a strong ability to negotiate.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel throughout North Texas.
- Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency in PC skills (email, record keeping, database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics) and a basic understanding of CRM products.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and current social media platforms.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- The role involves working both in a climate-controlled office setting and a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
- Expect long periods of sitting or standing, depending on the workflow.
- Standard office equipment use is required.
- The position may occasionally require moderate physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, or stooping.
