Pipe Layer
Key Responsibilities
- Take direction and work independently as needed
- May be requested to operate equipment on occasion
- Work includes bending, stooping, squatting, shoveling, raking, digging, climbing, pulling string line, operating hand and power tools, taking grade shots from a level
- Working conditions include heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, confined spaces and trench boxes
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience in installation of storm, sanitary, water line and force main pipe and testing
- Basic skills and understanding of the setup and use of a pipe laser
- Basic skills in brick-building storm structures are preferred
- Basic skills in operating a loader / backhoe are preferred
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
