Cleveland Ford is conducting a search for a Used Car Manager. If you are an experienced, high velocity-minded Used Car Sales Manager, with the ability to produce results, we want to hear from you!
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have several years of high-volume, dealership, Used Car Manager experience with a proven track record of success and competence in used car inventory management, pricing cars, appraising trades, buying inventory at auction, displaying and marketing used vehicles and wholesale and retail used car sales. V-Auto experience and Eleads experience preferred!
We're looking for an energetic professional with a proven track record who has successfully delivered on goals while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction. The Pre-Owned Sales Manager will be working and managing the sales team at a high volume dealership, in a great location, with great pay, benefits and a flexible schedule. Closing skills are a must and the ideal candidate will be an energetic leader with a great attitude. Come work for a winning team!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain pre-owned vehicle inventory at a 45 day supply with none over 75 days
- Appraise customer trade-ins
- Follow reconditioning and pre-owned certification process
- Ensure that cosmetic and mechanical reconditioning is performed within the dealerships cost and time limitations
- Plan and control the display of used vehicles
- Establish and control wholesale activities
- Keep abreast of auto auction activity and prices
- Approve all paperwork from auctions and provide proper documentation to the office for purchases
- Develop and maintain outside sources (wholesalers and retailers) for both buying and selling units
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect used vehicle sales
- Utilize vAuto for all inventory management, appraising, etc.
- Communicate daily with the sales managers regarding anything relevant to used car targets and inventory
- Attend manager meetings
- Maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications:
- Prior sales management experience 3-5 years required
- Finance management experience a plus
- Proven track record of success in sales
- The ability to work deals from A to Z
- Ability to train, motivate and retain a successful sales team
- Manage used car inventory and develop strategies to increase unit sales
- Must have solid supervisory skills
- Ability to work with other departments efficiently
- Verifiable track records of excellence and team building
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
