Description
The Food Service Assistant will play an integral role in providing excellence in hospitality at Christ Community Chapel (CCC). Our food service team meets a number of church needs, from providing coffee and snacks to executing large-scale meals for several hundred people. This is a part-time, flexible position and reports to the Food Service Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment
- Prepare, cook, and serve for various events at CCC facilities
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and inventory
- Step in to lead volunteer teams for larger events as needed
- Think on your feet and adapt to quick change
- Participate fully as a staff member at CCC
Requirements
Qualifications:
- In a dynamic and growing relationship with Christ
- Prior food service / kitchen experience; ServSafe training provided if not already completed
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends along with flexibility for other shifts
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout church facilities
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
