Hudson Table is an interactive culinary studio and event space. We specialize in providing unique culinary experiences to our guests, whether it be a hands-on cooking class, virtual events, or enjoying a fully customizable catered event in our beautiful professional-grade open kitchen. We are looking for a Chef to join our growing team who can teach cooking classes, host on site and off-site catered events and curate customized tasting menus.
A flexible schedule with weeknight and weekend availability is required. Catering experience and teaching experience is a plus!
COMPENSATION:
Hourly/Flat Rate Compensation Bonus Incentives and Tips!
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work weekends and at least 2-3 shifts per week including weekends. Flexible scheduling is required and catering experience is a plus.
ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your role as a Chef at Hudson Table is to lead your team through the execution of recipes and events in a fun and organized way. You will teach Hudson Table’s preexisting classes and, in the future, may have the opportunity to develop your own. You may also host Catered Events, Chef's Tables, and other unique formats, in which you develop menus and prepare a fully catered or plated dining experience live in front of our guests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Culinary degree from an accredited program
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry
- Must have a strong understanding of food and kitchen safety
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task
- Ability to bend and lift 40 - 60 pounds
- Must understand FOH operations and be able to deliver high-quality customer experience
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Good communication including listening skills required
- Proven ability to work independently at times and within a team
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends'
