The Parts Specialist position is responsible for parts sales and support by processing parts orders and ensuring quality customer service for all customer parts needs.
DUTIES:
INSIDE PARTS SALES
- answering incoming calls and receiving incoming faxes
- assisting customers determine necessary part needed
- looking up and processing customer orders
- invoicing, matching, and filing parts counter invoices
- maintaining open order listing after appropriate training from parts manager
- entering all stock orders and ebo’s based upon current cut off times
- locating and obtaining parts to fill manufacturers’ backorders for customer tickets
- reviewing customer or shop return parts with parts manager
MAINTAINS RECORDS
- setting up and maintaining a log for all core returns
- assisting in processing all shipping and receiving
- assisting shop specialist
- assisting with parts warehouse maintenance
- backing up for parts runner
- assisting parts manager on various projects
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum 2 years of parts lookup experience or equivalent equipment knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Ability to understand various computer system resources for research requirements
Ability to read and following instructions
Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions
This position is in an indoor office environment with a controlled climate.
This position requires sitting at a computer desk for long periods of time with constant use of a computer keyboard.
This position will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication.
This position will continuously use hands to type.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
