Humana has set an intentional strategy of growing through acquisition, particularly in our Clinic and Home Health lines of business. This growth requires support across all areas of the corporate sphere, from IT to Finance to HR. On the Benefits team, we support merger and acquisition activity from early consideration through completion and remain engaged through the integration of the acquired company’s employees. From a Benefits perspective, this includes financial analyses of potential deals, qualitative assessment of how the associates’ experience will change through the transition, and training and support for new associates once a deal closes. We are seeking curious and passionate people to support this work.

Responsibilities
The Associate Benefits Professional 2 utilizes deep understanding of contemporary practice and the associate community to develop and implement competitive benefit opportunities that contribute to associates and emphasize perceived value while balancing expense and business requirements, including regulatory compliance. This position focuses on department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Benefits experience, either professionally or personally, that provides an understanding of the impact of benefits offerings on associates’ lives
- Prior merger and acquisition experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Experience with understanding information from one context and translating it into another (e.g. cross-cultural communication, data analytics, teaching…)
- If located within proximity of a Humana office, this role can be considered hybrid.

Work-At-Home Requirements:
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
