JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Executive Recruiting will serve as a “principal” executive recruiter, developing and executing successful search strategies in support of a wide variety of roles at the executive level (Vice President level and above) across all of Charter Spectrum’s business units. This leader will partner with hiring managers, business leaders, HR business partners as well as members of the senior leadership team, to ensure slates of top-tier, diverse, qualified (internal and external) candidates, for these searches. Expected to proactively meet external and internal candidates for information gathering and candidate pipeline development, the Director, Executive Recruiting will facilitate the search process from start to end, and will be well versed and experienced in all aspects of executive search methodology including creative candidate sourcing, candidate generation & development, client management and offer negotiations.




MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with project stakeholders (Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, Researchers, Coordinators) at the assignment beginning to develop appropriate recruitment strategy.

Manage and oversee the full lifecycle recruitment process through to successful completion. This includes:
  • Conducting research to map target companies and right talent fit; performing creative internet sourcing and mining; identifying prospects through internal and external networking.
  • Developing prospects/pipelining candidates by assessing, screening applications, conducting phone-based interviews, presenting qualified candidates ensuring slate diversity, and coordinating on-site interviews.
  • Consolidating feedback throughout all steps of the process, and facilitating consensus meetings to help hiring teams reach a hiring decision.
  • Managing compensation expectations and offer discussions.
  • Facilitating external search firm relationships, where applicable, between the client business and the search firm, ensuring consistent communication between the two parties; providing offer process facilitation and negotiation.

Provide continuous feedback to, and communication with, client, search team, and all prospects, candidates, and applicants.
  • Providing strategic guidance and advice in a true partnership with executive leadership
  • Leading client update meetings, regularly reporting project status to stakeholders
  • Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to enhance the client and candidate experience.

Work successfully with members of senior management within the organization, developing internal and external networking relationships with senior executives to know the key talent within various industry areas or functional areas of expertise.
  • Fostering a network of industry talent and contacts for future searches
  • Creating top tier/diverse talent pools prior to positions being opened.
  • Developing proactive recruitment strategies for future business needs and succession planning, staying abreast of market trends affecting the client’s business, as well as broader employment trends affecting recruitment.

Assume shared ownership of the Executive Search candidate relationship management “CRM” system and responsibility for consistently entering and maintaining current, accurate research and data for candidate pipelining. Additionally maintain role and applicant tracking data in company-wide resume applicant tracking system, “ATS”, ensuring compliance with OFCCP and FCC regulations.

Mentor and develop future junior members of the Executive Search team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10 years of Executive Search business experience, identifying VP and above level candidates, to include experience in areas such as executive search, management consulting, or corporate executive search functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of executive search process including targeted candidate research, online recruitment tools, and databases.
  • Proven ability to source and select appropriate candidates by analyzing resumes and conducting qualifications meetings, based upon position requirements.
  • A priority to facilitate a positive candidate experience and maintain the integrity and compliance of the selection process, all while upholding hiring standards.
  • Utilize consultative approach and be comfortable with “the art of the pushback” and expectations management for all stakeholders.
o Ability to build strong business partnerships internally and externally, and partner with multiple stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and senior management, to influence and guide the recruitment process.
o Flexible and resilient, able to navigate within a highly decentralized and matrixed environment, and influence multiple constituents without direct authority.
o Experience leveraging talent and market insights and data to influence executive-level audiences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary for interviewing and leading hiring manager meetings at a senior level, able to provide focused and relevant documentation for internal clients, completing all necessary correspondence and reports, and interfacing with all levels of senior management.

 Recognition and priority for diversity in active recruiting as well as in candidate pipelining. 
Expertise with Executive Compensation programs preferred.
 Experience managing data within an Executive Search CRM a plus.
 Knowledge of Affirmative Action, EEO, guidelines on employee selection relative to the recruitment process.
 Technology proficiency including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
