POSITION SUMMARY: Conducts all night audit functions and accounting measures associated with the Night Audit Process. Works overnight shift on Lodging Front Desk, maintains all aspects of service & tasks required of the front desk position. This position requires a full background check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Determines the days postings to accounts are accurate and in agreement with the supporting records. Compiles all requested reports and forwards to appropriate personnel. Closes and compiles all cashier drops for the day. Reconciles and closes daily credit card accounts and transactions. Extracts and exports .csv files to create and analyze MS Excel spreadsheets and reports. Analyzes accounting information to streamline inter-department operations and acts as a liaison between the accounting and lodging departments. Internet and computer savvy. Acts as a guest services agent and meets all guest requests presented during shift. Is familiar with the lodging policies & procedures and can handle all emergencies occurring on shift (fire, earthquake, medical, etc.), including monitoring all radios and phones communicating with the Lodging director, MOD and/or Sheriffs Department as needed to handle any property or guest emergencies &/or disturbances. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May work up to 10-hour days with an average of 8 hours. Will use hands for fine motor skills. Sensory skills of vision, speech, hearing and touch are required. Worksite is the Selkirk Lodge front desk and reservations departments. Limited ability to move away from front desk area, must be able to hear phones and radio communications. Scheduled breaks and relief not available. Paperwork duties sedentary up to 8 hours per shift. Standing / walking duties up to 2 hours per day. Lifts up to 10 lbs. frequently. Bends, squats, kneels, climbs, twists and reaches above shoulder level occasionally. Will use hands for grasping, pushing/pulling on files and drawers, and for fine manipulation typing, computers and writing. Sensory skills required of speech, vision, hearing, and touch. Work site is 99% inside and 1% outside. Hazards are snow, ice and other precipitation/weather.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: All employees are having contact with Hotel guests are expected to practice Exceptional Service skills in all communications and service to guests. Attend meetings as scheduled or requested. Complete any and all other assignments as directed by the Lodging Director or Front Office Manager for smooth operation of the resort during night hours.

SKILLS:
Accounting skills required.
Exceptional customer service, comfortable on telephones, MS Word, & Internet. Advanced MS Excel User, Good math and report balancing skills required.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma, proficient English reading, writing and communication.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience and training in accounting procedures. Advanced MS Excel Spreadsheet development. Previous Hotel Experience.
MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Computer, telephone, photocopier, credit card machine, fax.
