POSITION SUMMARY
Sell fluid power products and services to existing and new customers. Work requires substantial product knowledge. Design and recommend power units, troubleshoots customers problems, and recommends solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Contacts current and prospective customers to solicit business orders.
- Recommends products to customers, based upon customer’s needs and interests.
- Answers questions about products, prices, and quality, durability, and credit terms.
- Meets with customers to demonstrate and explain features and benefits of products and services.
- Prepares lists of prospective customers, call reports, and other reports as required.
- Reviews sales records and current market information to determine value or sales potential of product.
- Completes sales contracts or forms to record sales information.
- Instructs customers on use of products.
- Investigates and resolves customer complaints.
- Prepares drawings, estimates, and bids to meet specific needs to customers.
- Obtains credit information on prospective customers.
- Oversees delivery or installation of products to equipment.
- Achieves high understanding of products, learn about new products.

Education:High School Graduate or equivalent; degree in industrial distribution or engineering preferred.
Experience:Three years hydraulic experience or equivalent
Skills taught after hire as needed:
Product Training, Hydraulics Training, Pneumatics Training, Mechanics Training, Systems Design, Sales Techniques, Computer System Training, Microsoft Training, ISO Training
Certificates & Licenses:Certified Fluid Power Specialist preferred
Other Requirements:Valid Driver’s License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Travel Requirements:50% & Up
