To keep up with our rapid growth, we are looking for Field Technicians to join our growing team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and perform, according to the technical specifications and directives received, the layout, installation, modifications and removal of vehicular scanning units, computer systems, as well as different types of vehicular scanning equipment;
- Perform tasks relating to hardware installation projects according to the assignment of work orders, including assembly, cable routing and wiring;
- Perform assigned on site calibration and validation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks;
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and troubleshoot to determine proper solutions while completing the installation;
- Provide information and progress updates regarding tasks completed and results in a timely and detailed manner;
- Collaborate with the onsite technical team members;
- Build positive relationships with team members and clients;
- Participate in pre-production and training meetings as needed;
- Ensure the necessary equipment to perform all the requested work is available;
- Execute the work in accordance with the client's expectations;
- Project a professional image and keep the work site clean before, during, and after the installation;
- Complete work by deadline;
- Other related tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Previous Field Service, Field Engineer or Mechanical Technician experience;
- 1 year of cabling experience;
- Posts, Railing installation experience (drilling into concrete, bricks, etc.);
- Experience with vehicular hardware installations and maintenance (12V electrical experience) is an asset;
- Experience with the installations of AV, medical & telecommunications equipment (In ground scanners, Monitors, Security & Surveillance Cameras, CCTV, Sonar, etc.) is an asset;
- Ability and knowledge to use power and hand tools, i.e., using a voltmeter, cable testers;
- Professional written & oral communication skills (listening, speaking, and writing);
- Strong customer-orientation skills;
- Problem-solving abilities;
- Possession of a Forklift License is an asset;
- Basic networking knowledge. Basic knowledge of Linux systems is an asset;
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules;
- High physical work capacity (ability to lift weights of up to 35 pounds) and ability to perform prolonged work safely;
- Availability and authorization to travel frequently within the state and/or out of the state is required. Willing to travel up to 80% of the time;
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
