Industrial Sales Representative

Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

Want to work with some of the world’s largest energy, infrastructure, and aerospace/defense companies? At HYTORC, we are currently pushing the envelope in industrial bolting by designing tooling, fasteners, and software solutions for the world’s most critical infrastructure, energy, and manufacturing applications.


We are looking for an ambitious Sales Professionals to develop new opportunities in our key markets — including energy, infrastructure, aerospace & defense, oil & gas, and more. As a BDR, your role will be to create new business relationships by contacting and communicating with potential customers. This position requires strong sales and business development skills to acquire new clients and support our existing clients. Industry knowledge is also a plus.


Qualifications / Skills:

  • 2-3 years of industrial sales experience a plus
  • Fearless approach to calling on new business clients and setting meetings
  • Industry knowledge of oil & gas, energy, infrastructure and/or experience interacting and selling into Maintenance Managers, Project Managers, and Safety Managers
  • Well spoken, strong phone presence
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and reliable
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and communications skills; effective listener
  • Able to build instant rapport and understand customers’ needs
  • Effective time management, multi-tasking skills, and organizational skills
  • Access to your own laptop and phone
  • Above all else - hungry, humble and smart. Self-motivated and can get passionate about helping companies build safer and faster with our tools


Responsibilities include:

  • Make it a priority to be client facing 4-5 days a week
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly quotas
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, qualifying new leads, following-up
  • Work closely with Account Executives to build a pipeline for HYTORC products
  • Develop clients and meetings through cold calling and product demonstration
  • Create sales opportunities within our target market (i.e. new accounts and buyers)
  • Generate warm, qualified leads for SoCal Sales Team by sending outbound emails, prospecting on LinkedIn, placing outbound phone calls, etc.
  • Set product/technology demonstration appointments for Account Executives
  • Track and manage prospects and maintain leads in CRM system
  • Pass over qualified leads and appointments to Account Executives
  • Provide valuable market feedback to continue to drive HYTORC’s business development strategy

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HYTORC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range of total compensation is $50,000 to $150,000.
