Summary:
The Sales Specialist is responsible for establishing Hyundai L&C USA as a leader in quartz and solid surface products within an assigned territory for the residential and commercial segments. The candidate promotes the HanStone/Hanex brands to fabricators, builders, K&B dealers and designers ensuring all merchandising is up to date along with Hyundai L&C products are chosen as their first choice when selecting for customers.
Job Description:
· Assist with customer entertainment events and other promotional activities as needed including weekend sales events
· Ensure customers have adequate marketing materials to support sales including samples, brochures, and other collateral supplies in all locations
· Increase market share by elevating the number of displays and point of purchase (pop) materials within assigned territory
· Identifies new customers and sets them up with initial retail package including samples, displays and collateral
· Develops and promotes brand awareness with all potential customers in the assigned territory
· Attend industry related events regularly (NKBA, ASID, AIA, NARI) to build relationships reporting back with recaps and productive feedback
· Develops and executes business plans for the territory within all customer segments
· Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
· Gathers market intelligence and provides data to the Regional Sales Manager
· Identify and resolve any client concerns
· Manages customer relationship: Expectations, needs, concerns, etc., in order to encourage the sale of HanStone and Hanex brands
· Prepare presentations
· Keep current customers informed and trained on new and existing products and programs
· Conduct product knowledge and other training classes for customers as needed
· Visits customers and supports generating sales through building relationships with personnel
· Gathers market intelligence and provides data into Salesforce
· Reports daily activity, maintains and monitors customer databases through Salesforce
· Frequent travel required within assigned territory
· Responds to all customer inquiries as it relates to this position
· Maintains files and any documentation thoroughly and accurately
· Assist with other projects as needed
· Overnight travel may be required from time to time
Desired Qualifications and Attributes:
· 4-year degree in Marketing or Interior Design preferred but not required
· 2~3 years of retail merchandising experience in a similar environment preferred
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
· Demonstrated ability to interact and build relationships with customers
· Knowledge of the sector and products - quartz/solid surface manufacturing
· Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
· Able to meet deadlines
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational and analytical skills
· Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
· Possess strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
· Ability to work independently and with a team
· Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; lift and/or move 35 pounds (sample box weight). Requires ability to lift and carry displays (60 pounds). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires ability to safely operate an automobile.
