Qualifications:
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for determining the requirements for pallet racks, maintaining inventory of the racks between the plant and E-coat facility to ensure seamless flow of parts. Assisting with transportation bidding & supporting A/S purchasing with daily transportation needs. Supporting the warehouse achieve KPI’s with reporting and process support.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Determine the required maintenance or design changes for a specific pallet rack; plan and implement these changes to ensure quality parts can be transported safely
- Report the performance before and after rack changes to determine ROI and use that data for future planning
- Plan and implement new model rack designs
- Maintain inventory of racks between plant and E-coat facility.
- Transportation bidding, scheduling, & monitoring
- Assist warehouse achieve daily KPI targets by monitoring all facilities daily requirements
- Support warehouse operations as needed
- Additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field plus OR
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years’ experience in a supply chain position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
- Detail-oriented and analytical skills
- Cost-reduction and efficiency mindset
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience in an automotive distribution environment
Working Conditions:
- 90% office(in person and on-site), 10% warehouse
- Overtime as needed
- Some travel as needed
