Purpose of the Job

This position plans, and directs the strategy for new business opportunities and leads the Sales Development Representatives (SDR) to achieve the sales goals by partnering with the sales team members. The position creates and implements a sales playbook in which lead generation, qualification and hand off will be clearly defined and measured. This position is responsible for managing and leading SDRs in pursuing new business opportunities. Key performance Indicators must be established and communicated to guide management activities and demonstrate ROI. The SDM will be measured on the collective performance of all SDR’s.


Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and develop the strategies to acquire the strategy and the implementation for new business opportunities.
  • Set and manage team expectations in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Hire, train, and develop SDRs in pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Hold quarterly performance evaluations with individual team members.
  • Provide dashboard reporting of sales activity for SDR team members.
  • Provide progress report from campaign initiatives.
  • Consolidate team performance reports for sales leadership.
  • Growing product awareness throughout sales teams.
  • Consistently engage with team to maintain positive outlook on patterned work.
  • Constantly improve messaging/outbound sales strategy to achieve positive results.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Data, and Channel Sales to ensure a trackable sales funnel.

This position requires up to 25% travel within and outside the United States as needed. Light travel on quarterly or annual basis for trade shows, trainings, and customer events/visits.


Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • BA or BS, Business Administration required
  • 5-7 years of B2B Sales experience required

  • Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate others to strive towards a common goal
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong with Salesforce or similar salesforce automation system
  • Comfortable with managing employees remotely and in person through use of collaboration office space
  • Comfortable with pipeline development and maintenance process
  • Strong technical computer application skills including Microsoft office 365 suite
  • Strong time management ability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to recognize and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to operate in a high intensity sales environment with monthly quotas and KPI
  • Ability to perform under pressure to achieve profitable sales targets
