i9 Sports is a leading youth sports organization dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive sports experience for children in communities across the country. Our mission is to help kids succeed in life through sports, emphasizing fun, safety, and good sportsmanship. We offer a variety of sports programs, and we are currently seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to join our team!
Position Summary:
As an i9 Sports Sports Camp Staff member, you will be responsible for leading a group of young athletes, for a full week, through many different skills, drills and games to ensure a fun, exciting environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that games and skills sessions are conducted appropriately, promoting a positive and safe environment, and providing a memorable experience for years to come!
Employment would be Monday-Friday 8:00am-1:30pm for the weeks of June 3rd and June 10th.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct skills sessions and games in accordance with i9 Sports rules and guidelines.
- Create a fun, exciting environment to ensure the athletes have an incredible experience.
- Ensure fair play, safety, and sportsmanship among participants.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay updated on i9 Sports policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- Passion for youth sports and a solid understanding of multiple sports.
- Prior experience working with kids ages 5-12 preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with athletes.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to a consistent schedule.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete required background checks and certifications as per i9 Sports guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move around for several hours at a time.
- Moderate physical stamina to keep up with the pace of the athletes throughout the day.
- Clear and audible verbal communication.
Note: i9 Sports provides comprehensive training and resources for all summer camp staff, including rulebooks, instructional videos, and ongoing support from our staff.
