Job Description
Nature of the Work
As the company's Sign Maker, you are responsible for the creation, design, and printing of all signage required by IBC Traffic, Inc. projects. In this position, you are a resource for all other team members. This multi-faceted role plays an integral part in the success and operations of IBC Traffic, Inc.
On any given day, the Sign Maker can be seen performing inventory audits, creating MUTCD compliant signage, and maintaining the facility.
Essential Duties
The essential duties of the Sign Maker are listed below. When necessary, additional duties may be assigned. IBC expects the Sign Maker to take ownership of the sign shop and anticipate the needs of fellow team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Sign design and fabrication compliant with DOT and MUTCD standards.
· Assist in maintaining company signage equipment.
· Ensuring that sign inventory is at full capacity in anticipation of daily needs and projected contract work by completing a visual inspection three days per week.
· Be accountable for clean, orderly, safe, sanitary work environment.
· Accurately track documentation related to jobs, inventory control, pricing, and quality.
· Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques related to the sign making profession.
· Work in collaboration with the management team to ensure signs are compliant and exemplary of the work standards created by the Company.
· Maintain effective levels of business literacy including company goals, mission, competition, and culture.
· Other duties as assigned as a small company being a Team Player is vital to our success.

· Familiar with Flexi Design Software a plus.
· Knowledgeable in large format printing.

Qualifications

· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· A valid driver’s license.
· Reliable transportation
· Ability to pass drug screening.
· Completion of OSHA-10 certification a plus
· High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
· Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must be comfortable climbing up tall ladders, working at elevated levels.
· Ability to operate a skid steer and forklift a plus.
· Positive attitude and work ethic
· Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in sign making.
· Proven ability and to problem solve and solution seek in challenging or time-sensitive scenarios through collaborations and leadership.
· Proven ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on business need.
· Strong ability to make sound, business-focused decisions.
