What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Arena - Assistant General Manager (AGM) position at Ice & Golf Center at Northwoods?
The Ice & Golf Center at Northwoods is currently seeking a qualified Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support daily operations at our facility. The Ice & Golf Center is an established family friendly sports complex located in San Antonio, Texas. Our facility houses one sheet of ice, one indoor turf field, and 36 holes of miniature golf.
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of all departments within the facility.
Job duties include: Facility operations; supervising and supporting all activities located in the facility. Venue scheduling (DASH software), invoicing of customer accounts, financial statements, facility budget, and negotiation of contracts with suppliers. Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Review and maintain event action plans, incident actions plans, staff roles and responsibilities, and staff training related to safety of employees and customers. Ice resurfacer operation and maintenance. Guarantee all codes, laws, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
Certification in Ice Arena Management, Operations & Risk Management, or Programming issued by USIRA preferred
Minimum of three (3) years management experience in an Arena, Convention Center or similar public venue.
Knowledge and application of business accounting procedures.
Understanding of refrigeration plant operations.
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information is required.
Ability to anticipate problems and implement procedures to correct/resolve issue.
Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment.
Highly developed knowledge of facility operating standards, building maintenance, custodial, personnel and office management.
Ability to work a flexible schedule is a must. Including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Applicant must have a valid Driver's License.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,522.00 - $51,811.00 per year
