Health Sciences- Environmental Modeler

To support ICF's dynamic growth and expanding client base, we are seeking an Environmental Sciences Data Project Manager to work in our Health Science Portfolio. This group of 130 science professionals provides toxicology, hazard assessment, epidemiology, risk assessment, exposure assessment, environmental modeling, and related support that addresses the full spectrum of potentially hazardous agents, including chemicals and microbes. We specialize in identifying and quantifying the effects of environmental pollutants, such as metals, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds, on human health and the environment.
The Environmental Modeler's project work would support federal agencies (such as U.S. EPA and NIEHS) in developing and implementing numerical models and managing environmental data.
Location: Durham, NC, Reston, VA, or remote work.
What you'll do...
- Develop or support environmental modeling tools in python, Excel VBA, Microsoft Access VBA, R, and/or Fortran.
- Build, test, and implement exposure modeling tools for regulatory applications.
- Implement statistical analyses of environmental data in SAS and R.
- Manipulate and analyze environmental data, including data mining and extracting patterns from large data sets.
- Assist with interoperability of environmental and systematic review data between disparate systems/databases.
- Document approaches in user's guides and technical reports.
- Participate in supervising, mentoring, and developing junior- to mid-level staff.
What you'll need:
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related subject.
- 2 years of experience using environmental models and manipulating/analyzing environmental datasets.
What we'd love:
- Experience with government programs (preferably U.S. EPA or NIEHS)
- Experience with python, SAS, and R

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is :
$68,325.00 - $116,152.00
