Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities, and demonstrating strong clinical and critical thinking skills. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the ER.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage incoming patients based on the severity of their condition.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving measures as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency nursing.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
- Assist with the transfer of patients to other departments or facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered.
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State].
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency nursing or a critical care setting.
