What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bagging Operator position at ICL Group?
ICL Specialty Fertilizers has two manufacturing plants near the Charleston, SC area; one in Summerville, and one in North Charleston. This position will report to the Summerville facility but will be required to help at the North Charleston facility on an as-needed basis. These facilities manufacture controlled-release fertilizer brands Osmocote®, Agroblen®, and Agrocote®. The shift assignment of this position varies and does involve occasional overtime, weekend, and holiday coverage as necessary. This position is responsible for operating the automatic bagger, as well as assisting Process Operator 1, learning the process, loading/unloading trucks, cycling counting material, and maintaining a clean and organized production area. In this position, it is expected that you communicate with other shifts, maintenance, and QA personnel.
Pay rate: $18/hour plus shift differential
Shift: 2nd shift: 3p-11p M-F

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work all shifts, some weekends, and provide shift coverage as necessary.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Good communication skills and the capability of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to solve basic mathematical problems, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and be proficient in utilizing a computer.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work at our North Charleston, South Carolina plant on an as-needed basis.
What will set me apart?
- 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- Prior DCS/HMI experience.
- Willingness to learn for advancement opportunities.
- Inventory experience.
