Description
Th Branch Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, efficiency, and customer experience of the residential and small commercial solar installation projects that are completed by the branch. Additionally, the Branch Manager is responsible for organizing, motivating, and leading the branch operations team.
This position requires minimal travel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of the installation process: communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
- Responsible for final jurisdiction and utility inspections and correcting failed inspections.
- Manage inventory effectively by forecasting future material needed and keeping track of consumables and parts being used by team members.
- Ensure that every member of the branch team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position.
- Collaborates with other branch and district managers to set reasonable goals.
- Collaborates with the director to set performance standards. Standards may be based on financial and operational goals and required compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with branch staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives.
- Identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs.
- Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
- Assists with start-up, development, and growth of new branches as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three years of experience in the branch with at least one year as an assistant branch manager highly preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with solar required.
- Must have a valid state driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, etc).
