Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Compensation Analyst - Entry, Professional, or Senior with in-depth knowledge and experience in employee compensation to join our Total Rewards team. This role carries enterprise-wide responsibility to help provide a balanced, competitive, and sustainable total rewards package, ensuring we attract and retain high-quality employees.
What does a Compensation Analyst – Entry, Professional, or Senior do for us?
As an Entry Compensation Analyst, under supervision you will support the design, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs, including base pay plans, job analysis and descriptions, bonus programs, salary market analysis, and more.
As a Compensation Analyst, under limited supervision you will assist with the design, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs, independently advise business leaders, and make recommendations that further align with our compensation philosophies and the long-term success of the company.
As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will develop, implement, and administer our competitive compensation packages and rewards programs by influencing business leaders, advising on best practices, and proposing improvements to support business objectives and enhance the employee experience.

As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will develop, implement, and administer our competitive compensation packages and rewards programs by influencing business leaders, advising on best practices, and proposing improvements to support business objectives and enhance the employee experience.
The Selected Candidate Will:
- Analyze internal and external market data to address compensation-related needs; prepare and present recommendations and compensation analysis information
- Develop and deliver transparent communication and education regarding compensation and incentive programs, fostering understanding among employees and all levels of leadership
- Partner and consult with HR colleagues and business leaders across the enterprise to interpret business issues and recommend solutions
- Streamline, consolidate, and automate compensation processes, partnering with HR colleagues and vendors as necessary
- Collaborate with peers to facilitate the performance management process, including merit cycle communication, promotions, and incentive planning
- Contribute information in the preparation of executive or compensation committee meetings, including incentive benchmarking, peer group analyses, Board of Director compensation, etc.
- Track and calculate short-term and long-term incentive payouts, working closely with Payroll, Finance, and Shareowner Services
- Complete audits, generate reports, and reconcile records to ensure compensation data integrity and accuracy
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends, recommending and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and competitiveness in compensation and total rewards
- Participate in salary surveys and analyzing data
- Participate in compensation projects

Entry Compensation Analyst
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- Bachelor's degree or related certifications
- 2 years of demonstrated experience in HR or a related field, such as legal, compliance, training, etc.
- Prior professional level HR experience in compensation
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
Compensation Analyst
- Bachelor's Degree
- Equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- 3 years of professional/advanced HR experience, including compensation experience
Senior Compensation Analyst
Preferred:
- Advanced degree or related certifications.
- 5 years of professional/advanced HR experience, including 3 years of experience in compensation
