Role Mission: The Health & Safety Monitor provides health and safety support to the campus, with an emphasis on COVID-19 support.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities:
Conduct contact tracing when there is a positive COVID-19 case on campus
- Collect rosters and seating charts and compare attendance records to determine which students were in close contact with the positive case
- Prepare communications to families from templates
- Call families of impacted students and share quarantine recommendations and learning options
Assist in campus COVID testing for students and staff and manage all campus testing reporting and inventory
- Complete campus health & safety reviews using the health & safety checklist
- Communicate areas of strength and weakness from the checklist to campus leaders
- Implement corrective action from the review
Support the campus health aide on non-medical tasks
- Supervising students in the containment room or waiting for treatment in the clinic
- Make reminder calls to parents
- Assist entering immunization records into health database
Support campus Business Clerk to inventory personal protective equipment (PPE) on campus
Assist Health Aide and Regional RN in connecting families with COVID vaccine resources

Qualifications:
- Education: HS Diploma or GED Required
- Experience: At least 1 year of successful experience in a customer service-focused role
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) OR a Registered Medical Assistants (RMA) (preferred)
- Current certification in CPR/AED/ First Aid (preferred)
- Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services to conduct vision, hearing, spinal, and AN screenings (preferred)
- Bilingual - Spanish required
What We Offer
Compensation:
- Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of
$15.90-$18.29/hourly.
- This role is a temporary and grant-funded position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
