Description
Role Mission: This immediate, full-time opening for the role of the Microsoft 365 Application Manager is an opportunity to maintain and support the day-to-day operations within our tenant, as well as support projects, and campus openings nationally for IDEA public schools. You will report directly to the Information Technology Director and work alongside our Systems Engineer and IT Project Management Team to achieve success in the growth of IDEA. You will report to work during regular hours of 8AM to 5PM CST remotely.
Required skills/Responsibilities
- HS/GED Required
- Associate's/Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 3 years relevant experience in Information Technology
- Superior troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under varying degrees of pressure
- Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed
- Ability to effectively communicate with peers as well as leadership roles all aspects of your role and projects
- Ability to work with and instruct vendors and/or end users on troubleshooting tasks and/or projects
Required experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Skilled at user training and support
- Proficient knowledge using Microsoft 365 to manage processes and document storage
- Experience creating both internal and client-facing documentation and diagrams for varying degrees of audience understanding
- Experience effectively working with a team, customer-base and third parties in a remote environment
Accountabilities:
Implement, support, and develop Microsoft 365 applications to provide 100% BoY (beginning of year) deliverables by FDoS (first day of school) for all IDEA locations
- Ensure accounting automation is thoroughly reviewed and operational
- Work with Microsoft 365 team to empower current applications with the latest technical innovations
- Develop and maintain various integrations across the platforms by partnering with internal development resources and external vendors
- Develop and facilitate training and documentation for end-users and other stakeholders
Manage maintenance, configuration, permissions, upgrade, and reporting. Ensure reliable operations of our Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Develop application performance operation metrics throughout top used apps. Provide tangible examples of progress/improvement.
- Keep up to date knowledge of the applications and gather best practices from other organizations (benchmark). Provide recommendations to improve services.
- Understand customer needs, and requirements and gather customer feedback to improve services.
- Troubleshoot system issues for specific employee or employee groups and work with vendor, other systems and team to solve and determine root causes to be solved
- Serve as the internal IDEA technical expert for all 365 products
Improve services and customer experience (Continuous Improvement):
- Develop and deploy at least 2 application improvements that improve customer service and/or experience
- Improve the data integration and connectivity between other district systems (IE: Tyler, PowerSchool, and Focus)
- Develop business partnerships with key stakeholder to inform system improvements through gathering business requirements
- Serve as the Tier 2 and 3 support for end users ensuring 95% customer satisfaction, as measured by customer satisfaction surveys, and 95% service level agreement compliance for all tickets.
Ensure 100% of network connected systems and resources are at a Security Maturity Level of at least "2 – Repeatable" in accordance with the Texas Cyber Security Framework
- Maintain up to date policies within Microsoft 365 to meet the least privileged model
- Configure and secure systems with policies defined in partnership with security operations center and technology operations
- Partnering with security operations center to provide resolution to escalations and vulnerabilities

Compensation & Benefits
Salaries for people entering this role typically start between $66,626 and $80, commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.
