Job Description
Job title: Wireless Engineer
Job type: 12 months Contract
End client: Newmont
On-site/Remote: Remote, Some travel will be needed but will be paid for by the client.
Job Description:
Newmont is looking for a mid to senior level wireless engineer that has experience with Cisco gear. They are looking for the resource to be able to help with designing and environment, building out configurations, and implement the work associated from a site perspective. Theis resource will also need to have experience with upgrading Wireless LAN controllers. This resource will have some travel to Newmont Sites including the Denver, Headquarters location to preform work such as Site Surveys. This resource must have a CCNP or CCIE.
Consultant skills – Must Have/Primary Skills:
Top REQUIRED (non-negotiable skills):
Cisco Wireless Experience: CCIE OR CCNP
Catalyst 9800 LAN Controllers Experience
Must have:
- Strong understanding of radio frequency (RF) fundamentals, components, and measurements
- Strong understanding of 802.11 medium access
- Strong understanding of 802.11 standards and amendments
- Experience with RF design and wireless site survey
- CWNA certification required, CWAP/CWDP/CWSP/CWNE preferred
What does this person need to be able to do with the specific technology/platform?
Build Out Configurations, Designs,
Be able to conduct Site Surveys with Ekahau
Be able to upgrade Wireless LAN Controllers.
