Brief Description
Works directly with the Manager of Purchasing to ensure a continuous supply of products and packaging to maintain adequate inventory levels at all locations. Interacts directly with the suppliers within the scope of product categories, as assigned, to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts.

Works directly with the Manager of Purchasing to ensure a continuous supply of products and packaging to maintain adequate inventory levels at all locations. Interacts directly with the suppliers within the scope of product categories, as assigned, to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts.
Buyer Responsibilities
- Analyze various supplier options according to quality, price, etc. and pick the best one.
- Identify target audience preferences and forecast consumer future trends.
- Monitoring market changes, competitor prices and products.
- Develops and maintains an extensive knowledge of product categories and packaging as designated, included market trends, futures markets, and related conditions.
- Select and purchase new products and review existing products.
- Analyze past sales patterns to anticipate trends in consumer buying pattern.
- Negotiate the agreement terms with the suppliers to achieve the best deals for our company.
- Ensure timely product delivery along with compliance to the purchase contracts.
- Monitor stock levels and make plans for purchasing within the decided budget.
- Create sales reports, budgets, and plan your strategies accordingly and present it to the Manager.
- Attend fairs, events, exhibitions to stay updated with the latest market trends of retail stores.
- Assist Store Managers in planning store layouts to promote key lines.
- Work with the Marketing and Pricing Departments in order to present sales promotions.
- Perform backup duties as needed.
