Event Sales Manager
The Confluence Hotel is currently seeking a results-driven and experienced Event Sales Manager to join our team. As an Event Sales Manager, you will drive event sales, build client relationships, and ensure the successful execution of events at our hotel. Your responsibilities will include proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and contracts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure flawless event execution. Your ability to effectively negotiate contracts, meet sales targets, and provide exceptional customer service will contribute to the success of our event sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Generate leads and identify new business opportunities
- Negotiate proposals and contracts with clients
- Coordinate and manage events from start to finish
- Sell meeting and conference space to target markets
- Analyze target markets and develop sales plans accordingly
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts
- Forecast sales and revenue for the hotel
- Utilize customer relationship software to manage client interactions
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Develop and manage budgets and pricing strategies
- Lead and motivate a team of sales and event professionals
- Create and execute marketing and promotional activities
- Select and manage event venues
- Provide sales reporting and analysis to hotel management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event sales and management
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficiency in customer relationship software and sales reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Salary : $52,600 - $66,600
