POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides bookkeeping services for overall company functions. These include accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash and month end reconciliations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand, accurately interpret, discuss with and inform others about financial data
- Use relevant computer software and platforms to process, interpret, and accurately record and report financial data
- Work in a sitting or standing position for several hours at a time
- Work at a computer for several hours at a time
- Communicate frequently with coworkers in person or using email, phone, and/or videoconferencing
- Accurate data entry and 10-key skills required
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts Payable (verify, record and pay bills in a timely manner, accurate data entry, review expense accounts for accuracy)
- Vendor communication (maintain up to date W-9 forms for vendors, process and mail 1099’s at calendar year end, regular communication w/multiple team members concerning agency purchasing, review general ledger for posting accuracy and make corrections as needed, reconcile accounts as needed)
- Accounts Receivable (generate invoices for billing)
- Petty Cash (reimburse petty cash for all departments weekly, reconcile and maintain administration petty cash weekly)
- Engage in respectful communication (listen carefully and communicate respectfully and clearly with everyone in the work environment, communicate positively and assertively with your supervisor and coworkers, use person-first or preferred language, maintain confidentiality and support privacy at all times, include the people being supported in discussions about their own lives)
- Promote the professionalism of the industry (model behavior that reflects IEI’s values, represent IEI in a positive manner, understand and follow agency systems, policies and procedures, complete time and attendance records, e.g. timesheet, according to agency expectations, meet established timelines and deadlines, maintain satisfactory attendance to work shifts, staff meetings and other assigned agency functions, complete duties assigned by supervisor or designee
- Team support (serve as back up to other admin positions as needed, maintain knowledge of agency processes, actively engage with the administrative team)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma; additional education preferred.
- 1 year bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge or prior experience of Sage 50, but not required.
- Non-profit experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license

- Must be detail oriented and very organized.
- Must be self-motivated and willing learn new skills
- Able to receive direction from others.
- Ability to handle multiple detailed duties with a very high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage tasks.
- Accurate data entry and 10 key skills required.
- Must be service oriented and willing to help out wherever needed.
