Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of electrical principles and codes, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
- Plan and execute electrical installations and repairs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify faults and malfunctions using testing devices and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate electrical installations with other construction activities.
- Train and supervise apprentices and helpers on job sites as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
