Job Title: Inside Sales / Customer Service
Department: Magnetech Industrial Services, Inc.
Classification: Exempt
Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for providing customer support by processing requests for quotation, contract review, and handling all customer communications. These activities require the timely completion to the complete satisfaction of our customers.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
- Respond to sales calls in a courteous and timely manner by initiating the proper customer activity.
- Process customer orders, advising on product application, availability, correct part, catalog or issue number, shipping charges, and price.
- Dispatch all paperwork to the proper department(s) for shipment, repair, or quotation.
- Review all new equipment requests for quotation and produce an estimate response.
- Work with the Outside Sales team to track all quotations to ensure timely follow-up on customer inquiries.
- Review all incoming customers’ order and perform contact review.
- Acts as interface between the customer, production department, and sales group for all customer communications.
- Inventory management of customer spares, new motors, and other customer owned assets in Magnetech’s possession.
- Maintain electronic database of customer asset moves in/out of warehouse.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance on customer motor inventory in warehouse.
- Act as primary contact for TMM customer and communicate customer needs to other company personnel to ensure proper repair scopes and delivery expectations.
- Confer with personnel to ensure shipment of customer requested material and complete billing.
- Initiate material and process non-conformance, when necessary.
- Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone, or personal contact with customers, outside vendors, and/or service providers, etc.
- Document/report all customer complaints to quality department. Make every effort within your sphere of influence to resolve complaints immediately.
- Advocate and follow all quality, safety and environmental procedures and report any/all noncompliance.
- Provide support for any special projects as assigned by your manager. These special projects, at the determination of management, may or may not become part of your primary responsibilities.
Measures of Success:
- Delivering assigned new equipment sales expectations.
- On-time completion of quotes and follow-up
Recommended Position Requirements:
This position requires an individual be experienced in service/sales/customer service. To be considered, a candidate must possess a high school diploma and two (2) years experience in the area(s) listed above. Additionally, computer skills in Excel and Word and have excellent customer interface experience. The position demands an individual who is hard working, detail oriented, and thorough, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
