Overview :
To gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Deli / Bakery Manager. To supervise and ensure that Floco Foods customer service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the deli / bakery department to achieve maximum sales.
Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure customers receive polite, friendly service from the deli / bakery department staff.
- Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli / bakery department.
- Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
- Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
- Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
- Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
- Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli / bakery department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
- Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and customer service as necessary to achieve standards.
- Performs PA announcements.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to read and understand information and direction.
- Knowledge of deli operations.
- Ability to supervise people including training and development.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
- Ability to work well with computers.
