Job Summary:
The P&C Operations and Payroll Supervisor will participate in developing critical business and
people strategies to advance Chosen Foods’ mission, principles and meet expected growth
projections. This person will support the workforce, promote diversity and inclusion efforts, and
will be responsible for overseeing P&C Operations, Payroll, and Benefits including support,
recruiting, learning and development, HRIS maintenance, compliance, and social impact. As a
supervisor they will partner and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Administers human resources platforms and programs which include People &
Culture, Payroll, and Benefits processes, practices, and policies. Included are payroll,
(including quarter end/year end processes), benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary
matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity,
recognition, and morale, health and safety, and training and development.
- Ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, local, and country
employment laws and regulations.
- Recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to
maintain compliance in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, and recent technologies in
human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Mentors and coaches P&C direct reports to support their professional development
and ensure their responsibilities are aligned with the overall people operations
function.
- Assists in the due diligence during M&A as part of the overall organizational
strategy.
- Supervises all compliance audits ACA, F5500, NDT, W/C, EDD, and all Health and
Welfare benefits audits.
- Participates in the development of the P&C departmental budget.
- Implements training and development platforms to ensure compliance and
employee development throughout the organization.
- Thinks strategically and outside of the box to create programs that help the
company gain a competitive advantage while also fostering the professional
development of team members.
- Promotes and executes the ESG and DEI&B Initiatives to ensure they are supported
throughout the People Operations.
- Implements processes to support employee engagement, performance coaching,
talent assessment, change management, and organizational communications.
- Supports and mobilizes a positive company culture that will allow employees to
thrive at all levels of the organization.
- Oversees and furthers the development of organizational DEI&B initiatives, ensuring that the company is educated, engaged, and actively building a culture of inclusion & belonging.
- Executes recruiting strategy and processes to ensure a world-class candidatexexperience, ensuring that the company is a highly sought-after place to work.
- Develops and coaches current and prospective people managers on effective management and feedback practices.
- Improve processes and systems to ensure every aspect of the employee lifecycle is optimized

Professional Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of HR experience in a combination of HR, People Operations, Compensation, Employee Relations, and Recruiting.
- 2-4 years supervising Payroll processes.
- Possess functional expertise across all general areas of People Operations, including organizational design, planning, diversity and inclusion, employee experience, talent and performance management, compensation, and employee relations, and stakeholder impact.
- Proven record of accomplishment of success in implementing programs that attract and retain a high-performing, diverse and engaged workforce.
- High level of business acumen and proven effectiveness as an advisor working directly with managers to provide alignment of human capital initiatives with organizational strategy.
- Well-versed in federal and state employment laws and HR compliance to ensure the business is set up for success.
- Experience working with remote employees across multiple states and countries preferred.
- Experience with HRIS and Recruiting systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to coach and develop direct reports and lead and influence global teams.
- Must be proficient with MS Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with electronic file processing
- Ability to work under pressure.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
