Overview:
IHD Labs seeks a versatile professional capable of handling both medical transcription and phlebotomy duties. This dual role is ideal for individuals who excel in multitasking and have expertise in both fields, ensuring efficient clinical documentation and patient care.Responsibilities:
- Medical Transcription:
- Transcribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes, and other documents from recorded messages from healthcare providers.
- Proofread and edit transcribed reports for accuracy in grammar and medical terminology.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient-related documents.
- Phlebotomy:
- Perform blood collection for clinical analysis and medical testing.
- Assess patient’s ability to withstand venipuncture process.
- Properly label all blood specimens, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
- Ensure all phlebotomy equipment and supplies are handled according to health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in medical transcription and/or phlebotomy preferred.
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriber and/or Phlebotomist.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and venipuncture techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and patient interaction abilities.
