Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties for a distribution center on a professional level, including but not limited to, managing HR duties relating to the conversion and onboarding processes, benefits administration, performance management, recruitment/employment, the job posting and bid processes, employee relations issues, required reporting and employment law compliance.
Job Expectations:

Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed

Provides support for COVID reporting and tracking, including but not limited to absences, accommodations, and follow up.

Monitor attendance tracker and enter data as necessary
-
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information, documents, e-mails, and in handling team member benefits issues, inquiries and complaints
-
Provide support on company policies, procedures and documentation
-
Assist with mandatory HR postings and ensures compliance, and maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment benefits laws and regulations

Assist with confidential employee relations cases
-
Ensure all leave of absence and leave-related accommodation are forwarded to corporate HR for processing and managing
-
Support the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations and discusses eligibly with team members
-
Assist with Wellness and iFocus teams for distribution center(s)

Support conversion and the onboarding process from start to finish including ensuring onboarding task are completed

Maintain confidential electronic team member files

Provide support to other areas/locations of HR such as recruitment, benefits, wellness, recognition, safety and security, and communication

Provide support for team member recognition and reward programs

Serve as back-up to DC Administrative Assistant as needed

Equipment Knowledge:

Experience Requirements:
Generally requires three to five (3-5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, engagement, and compliance.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Organizational Management or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience required.
Judgment/Reasoning Ability: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
