Position Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and leading the marketing strategy in a global, highly competitive, and evolving industry. This individual works with product teams in each business unit to create unified messaging, translate IHRDC’s brand to all customer outlets including non-traditional, and is responsible for formulating and managing sales and marketing campaigns. The role requires strategic thinking, creative problem solving, ability to manage the overall marketing budget, as well as experience leading change in collaboration with senior peers. The Director of Marketing will be evaluated on global brand awareness, program enrollment and revenue growth. S/He will act as a thought-leader and communication channel for the company, including: all aspects of branding, public image, marketing and advertising strategy; external communication; public and industry relations and policy; sales campaigns, and marketing metrics. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, feel confident in both setting and implementing actions, able to influence marketing professionals across the organization, experienced with budget and resource allocation, and gain satisfaction from being an integral part of an entrepreneurial team. Occasional travel is required.
Responsibilities
· Create overall strategies that build brand awareness, generate leads, grow revenue, and enhance existing and new partnerships across various distribution channels.
· Lead branding initiatives, sales/marketing revenue generation programs, and marketing operations across the organization that connect multiple products in coordinated offerings globally.
· Manage product campaigns to increase awareness, produce leads, cultivate partnerships, close online sales and build sales team funnel to generate revenue through a range of marketing channels (online and offline advertising, social media, outbound initiatives, and email campaigns, etc.)
· In collaboration with business development and business unit owners, continually refine comprehensive go-to-market plan across geos, channels and market segments while utilizing critical market and competitive research to segment and define target markets for best industry penetration strategy.
· Create marketing platform operations strategy, and train internal staff and external resources on implementation.
· Manage and direct investments in CRM, marketing automation, analytics and other tools.
· Develop and manage marketing budgets.
· Oversee market research, reporting and analytics.
· Manage the work of outside agencies, consultants and other vendors, as well as leverage marketing specialists for project execution.
Education, Experience and Requirements
· At least 5-10 years of experience working across a diverse portfolio and creating coherent branding that connects disparate product offerings and markets.
· Proven success in developing comprehensive marketing plans and budgets, and implementing campaigns across a diverse range of digital and offline media in both B2B and B2C environments.
· Passion for analytics with drive to build comprehensive data/financial analysis models and extensive experience driving decisions from data.
· Experience managing organizational change as part of a senior team, and understanding of different functional disciplines including finance and IT.
· Knowledge and expertise in marketing automation and sales CRM software. Direct experience with Pardot and Salesforce a plus.
· Experience in energy products and services, in academic or business environment helpful.
· A track record of building and managing teams.
· Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters preferred in related subject or equivalent experience required.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
